Up to 150 trips can be stored continuously in
the vehicle.
Here, at least the data and number of kilome‐
tres at the start and end of each trip, kilome‐
tres travelled and selected type of trip is recor‐
ded.
With "official" trips, the trip destination, reason
for travel, business partner sought and time of
start and end of the trip are also entered.
The trip book entries can be transferred to the
ConnectedDrive Portal and can be shown and
edited there. As a template for the financial au‐
thorities, a report can be compiled by the user
containing all the necessary information to en‐
sure the legal requirements.
The completeness of the entries can be done
both in the vehicle and in the ConnectedDrive
Portal.
Information
The trips recorded are encrypted and can only
be shown and processed in the vehicle or in
the ConnectedDrive Portal.
Operating requirements
▷ Unlimited use of the function is only guar‐
anteed with mobile telephone reception.
▷ The correct date and time is set on the
Control Display, see Owner's Handbook for
the vehicle.
Activating trip book
On the Control Display:
1. "BMW Services" or "ConnectedDrive"
2. "Logbook"
3. "Activate logbook"
Starting a new trip
1. "Manage current trip"
2. "New trip"
3. Adjust the following trip data as necessary:
▷ "Driver"
▷ "Trip type"
▷ "Business associates"
▷ "Purpose of trip"
▷ "Trip destination"
4. "Start trip"
Changing trip data
1. "Manage current trip"
2. "Modify trip"
3. Change desired trip data.
4. "Start trip"
Manual entries, such as driver, reason for
travel, trip destination and business partner
sought, cannot be changed after they have first
been entered by the user in the vehicle.
Showing a trip book
Display chronological listing of all trips stored
in the vehicle.
"Show logbook"
Transmitting a trip book
All trips stored in the vehicle are automatically
transferred to the ConnectedDrive Portal. They
can continue to be displayed in the vehicle.
