After connecting for the first time
The mobile telephone is paired with the vehicle
after a short delay when the engine is running
or the ignition switched on.
Phonebook entries on the telephone's SIM ve‐
hicled or the mobile telephone itself are trans‐
ferred to the vehicle after it has been detected,
depending on the mobile telephone.
For a few mobile telephones, certain settings
are needed, for example, authorisation or se‐
cure connection, see user manual of the mo‐
bile phone.
Connecting a certain mobile
telephone
On the Control Display:
1. "Settings"
2. "Connections"
3. "Bluetooth"
4. Select the mobile telephone to be connec‐
ted.
Functions assigned to the mobile telephone
before disconnection are reassigned to the
mobile telephone upon reconnection. If appli‐
cable, this function was deactivated for a previ‐
ously connected mobile telephone.
Configuring mobile telephone
Functions can be activated or deactivated with
a registered and connected mobile telephone.
On the Control Display:
1. "Settings"
2. "Connections"
3. "Bluetooth"
4. Highlight mobile telephone to be config‐
ured.
5. Calling up"Options".
6. "Configure device"
7. At least one function must be selected.
▷ "Telephone"
▷ "Telephone 2"
▷ "Data transfer"
▷ "Audio"
8. "OK"
If a function is assigned to a mobile telephone,
then this is deactivated for the already connec‐
ted mobile telephone and the mobile tele‐
phone is logged off.
Swapping telephone and telephone 2
The function of the telephone and telephone 2
can be switched automatically.
On the Control Display:
1. "Settings"
2. "Connections"
3. "Bluetooth"
4. "Swap telephone 1 and 2"
Disconnecting a mobile telephone
On the Control Display:
1. "Settings"
2. "Connections"
3. "Bluetooth"
4. Highlight the mobile telephone to be dis‐
connected.
5. Calling up "Options".
6. "Remove device"

▷ Is Bluetooth activated in the vehicle and on
the mobile telephone? Activate Bluetooth
in the vehicle and the mobile telephone.
▷ Do the Bluetooth passkeys for the mobile
telephone and vehicle match? Enter the
same passkey on the mobile telephone
and using iDrive.
