Retrieve a list of available configuration backups to restore by typing:
ls -l

Identify the desired package, typically the most recent backup, and restore it by typing:
/usr/local/smu_packages/restore.sh ./<filename>.zip
7.
Reboot the SMU by typing:
reboot
Deleting the SMU’s Backup Configuration Files
1.
From the
Home
page, click
SMU Administration
. Then, click
SMU Backup
.
2.
From the dated list in the
Auto-Saved SMU Backups
field, select the particular backup
that must be deleted.
3.
Click
delete
.
Upgrading System Software and Firmware
The System Management Unit (SMU) software and Titan SiliconServer firmware can be
upgraded to a newer release.
Note:
SMU software and Titan Server firmware are upgraded at the same
time. It is necessary to verify that the server’s flash has sufficient space for
the new firmware file to uploaded. If there is insufficient space, erase one of
the old image files before proceeding.
Upgrading SMU Software
To upgrade the SMU software:
1.
Before proceeding with the upgrade process, connect to the SMU through the
serial
port
.
2.
Login as ‘
root
’ (when prompted, enter the password).
3.
From the command prompt enter:
lilo -R backup
4.
Reboot the SMU by typing:
reboot
5.
The SMU will boot into backup mode in a few minutes.
6.
Login as ‘
root
’.
7.
Insert the
Upgrade CD
and close the CD ROM drive, wait 5 seconds.
