to create the Virtual Volume. The Virtual Volume may be subsequently modified by

clicking

details

in the Virtual Volume list page.

To Modify a Virtual Volume

1.

From the

Storage Management

page, click

Virtual Volumes

.

Then, click

details

next to

the Virtual Volume to be modified.

2.

Edit the values as required, and click

OK

to submit the changes.

To Delete a Virtual Volume

1.

From the

Storage Management

page, click

Virtual Volumes.

2.

Select the Virtual Volume(s) to be deleted. If all Virtual Volumes are to be deleted, click

Check All.

Email Contacts

It may be important for Email alerts, about Virtual Volume usage, to be
sent to a number of contacts in the enterprise. Enter each Email
address in the box, and click the add arrow to append it to the list
below. If an address is entered in error, select it in the list, and click
the X button to delete it.

Email recipients can be configured to receive email notification when
usage thresholds have been reached. Explicitly defined email
recipients (e.g. [email protected]) will receive email notification
any time a defined threshold has been reached.

Titan can also send emails to all user accounts when their
corresponding user quota has been reached. This is done by adding an
email address beginning with * to the Email Contacts list (e.g.
*@company.com).

For instance, if *@company.com has been added to the Email Contacts
list and a user quota for ‘ntdomain\user’ has been created, then if
‘ntdomain\user’ has reached the defined usage threshold, an email
alert will be sent to [email protected]. The same applies to N FS
users that have been defined in Titan’s NFS User list.

The Email list is limited to a maximum of 512 characters total.

Note: If no email contacts are specified for the Virtual

Volume, Titan generates

events

for quota warnings. To

generate events in addition to Email alerts, issue the

‘quota-event–-on’ command from Titan’s command line

interface.
