1.
Enter the Name of the policy in the Identification section. Provide a unique name the will
identify this particular policy.
2.
Enter the replication source parameters. The replication source identifies the currently
managed server and allows selection of EVS, File System and path.
3.
Enter the replication destination parameters. The replication destination allows selection
of EVS, File System and path.
4.
Specify the Source
Snapshot Rules
name. If a snapshot rule is specified for the source
File System, it is used to perform the replication.
5.
Specify the Destination
Snapshot Rules
name. If a snapshot rule is specified for the
destination File System, it is used to perform the replication.
6.
Specify any pre or post-scripts you plan to use. The pre replication scripts will be
executed before the replication process begins and the post-scripts will executed at the
conclusion of the replication process.
7.
Select a Rule Name to associate this particular replication policy.
When all the fields are complete press the
OK
button.

SiliconServer: The name of the SiliconServer where the replication will
be created.

EVS/File System: The name of the
EVS
and File System to which the
replication is mapped. Click change… to change the EVS/File System.

Path: select the
Virtual Volume
by using the drop-down list. Or select the
directory and enter the path.
Destination
The destination of the replication storage is configured to point to a managed
server:
•
SiliconServer: The name of the SiliconServer where the replication will
be created. Click change… to change the destination to a different
server.
•
EVS/File System: The name of the EVS and File System to which the
replication is mapped. Click change… to change the EVS/File System.
•
Path: select the Virtual Volume by using the drop-down list. Or select
the directory and enter the path. Click change… to change the
destination to a different server.
Processing
Options
Pre-/Post-Replication Script:
This is a user-defined script to run before or after each replication. Scripts must
be located in /usr/local/adc_replic/final_scripts. The permissions of the scripts
must be set to "executable".

Rule
Optional configuration parameters that allow replications to be tuned to enable
(or disable) specific functions or to achieve optimal performance.
