In the
Queue Size
field, specify the number of snapshots to keep before the system
automatically deletes the oldest snapshot. The maximum is 32 snapshots per rule.
4.
Select the File System on which to take snapshots, and then click
Apply
.
The
Snapshot Rules
page shows a summary of the details for the rule entered through the
Add
a Rule
dialog box on the previous page.
To modify a rule, select it from the
Existing Snapshot Rules
list and click the
Modify Rule
button, re-enter the
Name
and
Queue Size
if necessary and click the
Apply
button.
To delete a rule, select it from the
Existing Snapshot Rules
list and click the
Delete
button.
To assign schedules to snapshot rules
1.
Set the frequency with which the system takes snapshots by assigning one or more
schedules to a snapshot rule. In the
Snapshot Rules
dialog box, select the rule to which
to assign a schedule.

Click
Add Schedule
. The
Add a Schedule
dialog box will appear.
3.
Choose to take the snapshot on an hourly, daily/weekly, or monthly basis, and then
specify the schedule details. If the
crontab
format is familiar, type the schedule in the
Cron string
field and then click
Update GUI from string
to update the dialog box
accordingly. For more information on crontab, see the
Command Line Reference
.
