Chapter 3: Installation

STEP 3K: Configure connections to a remote branch office.

If you have a Hybrid PBX and VoIP Gateway installed at another office, you can set up a connection to it to enable direct
exchange of phone calls using extension numbers and a dialing prefix. For security reasons, we recommend connecting using a
virtual private network (VPN) link.

NOTE: The wizard only supports interconnection of branch offices using static IP addressing.

NOTE: Configuration of intervening network equipment (routers/firewalls) may be required to enable the connection to be

successful.

• To add a remote office, click “Add” and see “Adding a remote office” on the next page.

• When done, click “Next” to continue.

Remote Offices List

The following information is presented for each line:

• Name: Name assigned to the remote office for identification purposes.

• Action: Click the appropriate button to “Edit” or “Delete” an office. The Edit button displays the Remote Office Edit page. For

details, see “Adding a remote office” on the next page.
