STEP 3J: Configure outgoing call rules.
Outgoing call rules let you define how outbound calls are handled by the Hybrid PBX and VoIP Gateway.
Figure 3-18. Outgoing Call Rules screen.
Configure the settings on this page as described below and then click “Next” to continue.
Default settings for outgoing calls
• CallerID Name: Specify the text that will appear in the caller ID for all calls made through the Hybrid PBX and VoIP Gateway.
• CallerID Number: Specify the phone number that will appear in the caller ID for all calls made through the Hybrid PBX and VoIP
Gateway.
• Emergency: Specify the number to dial for emergency calls and select the line to use.
Outgoing call rules
Use this section to define the rules that determine how a user selects an outbound line when making a call. To add a new rule,
click “Add” and see “Adding an outgoing call rule,” below.
IMPORTANT: By default, an outgoing call rule is automatically defined for Analog calls. To support VoIP calls, you need to add
new rules.
The following information is displayed for each rule:
• Dial Prefix: Number to dial to select the rule.
• Line 1: First line to use. If this line is not available, Line 2 is attempted.
• Line 2: Second line to use. If this line is not available, Line 3 is attempted.
