• Action: Click the appropriate button to Edit or Delete a user. The Edit button displays the User page. For details, see “Adding a
user,” below.
Default users
The following users are defined by default. You can edit them, but you cannot delete them in the wizard.
• Analog User: This user is mapped to port FXS1 using extension 6002.
• Analog User: This user is mapped to port FXS2 using extension 6003.
• Operator: Sample SIP account using extension 6005.
Adding a user
When you click “Add” on the Configured User List page, you open the User page. Use this page to define or edit the
configuration settings for a user.

Configure the following settings, and click “Save” when you are done.
• Extension: Specify the extension number assigned to the user. Extensions must be between three and six digits in length.
• Type: Extension type. Select one of the following:
- SIP: Select this option if the user will make and receive calls on a SIP phone.
- Voicemail Box: Select this option to set up a virtual voicemail box that is not associated with a physical user. For example:
-- A sales department could use a virtual voicemail box to store all incoming customer requests. All members of the sales
team would have access to this box to retrieve and process messages.
