The drip tray has a capacity of no
more than 450 ml!
Preparing the Beer Keg
• Allow the beer keg to rest for around two hours before it is prepared for tap-
ping or tapped into to prevent excessive frothing when you tap into it.
• Vent the beer keg before the seal plug is removed. This prevents excessive
amounts of froth escaping from the ventilation opening.
Rubber Plug (Picture C)
A beer keg with a rubber plug is the easiest to tap into. The rubber plug does not require
any tool or universal adapter (

Combi Plug (Picture D)
The combi plug has a black seal plug with a red plug cover. The combi plug does not
require any tool or universal adapter.
1. Vent the beer keg. To do this,
fl
ip up the tab of the plug cover and twist the plug cover
in the direction of the arrow (

).
2. Remove the plug cover with a vigorous tug (

).
Ventilation Plug (Picture E)
The ventilation plug has a red seal plug with a black plug cover. To tap into a keg with a
ventilation plug, the auxiliary tool (

) and the universal adapter which is also supplied
is required.
1. Vent the beer keg. To do this,
fl
ip up the tab of the plug cover and twist the plug cover
in the direction of the arrow (

).
2. Remove the plug cover with a vigorous tug (
Picture D3
).
3. To remove the seal plug, place the auxiliary tool beneath the seal ring and press both
handles together forcefully until the seal plug has been cut through (
Picture E1
).
PLEASE NOTE:
The lower half of the seal which drops into the beer has no e
ff
ect
on the taste and is harmless to health.
4. Once the seal plug has been removed, insert the universal adapter into the keg
(
Picture E2
).
The universal adapter can be reused once it has been appropriately cleaned.
Take o

the universal adapter before disposing of the empty beer keg!
