Installation of Mower Unit

Danger

Danger

Both the reel cutter (cutting cylinder) and the
bed knife (bottom blade) are edged tools.
Handle them carefully, since they could cut
your hands and feet.

Caution

See "Tightening torques" (Page 3-5) .
Note that the Baroness product warranty may
not apply to defects caused by incorrect or
overtorque tightening etc.

Important

Apply a profuse amount of grease when
installing the mower connecting fitting onto
the mower arm.

For installation, reverse the removing
procedure.

Removal of Reel Cutter

Danger

Both the reel cutter (cutting cylinder) and the

Handle them carefully, since they could cut
your hands and feet.

Remove the mower unit and turn it upside
down. (See "Removal of Mower Unit" (Page
8-10) .)
Remove the bed knife mounting Assy. (See
"Removal of Bed Knife Mounting Assy"
(Page 8-15) .)

Remove the bolts and spring washers, and
then remove the reel housing lid and
packing.

Important

When removing the nut, note that it is
tightened strongly.
Fix the reel cutter with a secure object like a
wood hammer, and loosen the nut with a box
wrench, air tool, etc.
