Remove the right tank cover. (See
"Removal of Right Tank Cover" (Page
7-39) .)

Important

Before removing the lever damper, take note
and remember the installation position of the
washer.

The lever damper is located beside the
pump idle lever and tightened together with
the forward and reverse screw rods and
pillow balls.
Remove all of them at the same time.

Follow the steps below to remove the lever
damper.

Remove the lock nut.
Remove the bolt securing the pump idle
lever and lever damper.

in order, from the pump neutral fitting.
