After charging is completed, fill the battery
cells with distilled water (if the battery is in
use).
After charging is completed, measure and
record the specific gravity of each cell using
a battery hydrometer.
(See "Measurement of Battery Specific
Weight" (Page 6-8) .)
Replace it when the specific weight is 1.225
or less, or gap of that between each cell is
0.05 or more.
Interlock system
The interlock system is a safety system to
prevent injury or accident caused by lack of
caution of operator using combined control with
multiple switches and sensors.
The fuel stop solenoid is activated by the seat
switch and the parking brake switch. It operates
simultaneously with the reel rotation switch and
reel reverse switch.
To start the engine,
An operator sits on the seat.
Apply the parking brake.
Set the position of the reel rotation switch
to "OFF."
Take the foot off the traveling pedal
(forward or reverse pedal).
To drive,
An operator sits on the seat.
Set the position of the traveling/working
changeover switch to "Traveling."
Release the parking brake.
Hit the traveling pedal (forward or reverse
pedal).
In the following case, the engine is
stopped.
Apply the parking brake, leave the
driver's seat, and hit the traveling pedal
(forward or reverse pedal).
Release the parking brake without
sitting on the driver's seat.
Apply the parking brake, and turn the
reel rotation switch "ON" without sitting
on the driver's seat.

To operate (reel rotation),
An operator sits on the seat.
Set the position of the traveling/working
changeover switch to "Working."
The reel rotation switch is turned "ON."
If the operator leaves the driver's seat,
the engine is stopped.
Make sure that the reel rotation switch is
"OFF."
When the machine is parked or stopped,
Apply the parking brake.
Set the position of the reel rotation switch
to "OFF."
Take the foot off the traveling pedal
(forward or reverse pedal).
Unless the operator leaves the driver's
seat, the engine is not stopped.
However, unless all of the above-
mentioned conditions are satisfied, the
interlock system is activated and the
engine is stopped.
Maintenance of back lapping (The reel cutter
rotates reversely)
Set the position of the traveling/working
changeover switch to "Working."
Lower all mower units to the ground.
Stop the engine.
Open the hood, and then set the reel
reverse switch to the "ON" position.
An operator sits on the seat.
Apply the parking brake.
Set the position of the reel rotation switch
to "OFF."
Take the foot off the traveling pedal
(forward or reverse pedal).
Start the engine.
If you turn on the reel reverse switch
and reel rotation switch in a wrong
order, the engine is stopped.
