Security Management using a Web Browser
The management of the StorPoint HD access rights can be performed
from a Web browser. To access the StorPoint HD Home Page the
Internet address must be set, as described in “
TCP/IP ” on page 20, or
via AXIS WinPoint as described in “ Setting the StorPoint’s Internet
Address using AXIS WinPoint ” on page 54. Also the
HTTPEnable
parameter must be set to
yes
- which is the default setting. For more
information on setting parameters refer to “Section 5 - StorPoint HD
Configuration ” on page 47.
AXIS WinPoint can also be used to locate the required StorPoint HD
and start the Web browser showing the server’s Home Page (replacing
steps 1 to 4 below).
The structure of the links on the Management/Volume rights Web
page are as follows:
The Volumes links contains all the access control files, which are split
between three links as shown below.
Open the appropriate link and file according to the table below:
To set access rights to: Select the following:
The whole of the StorPoint HD root link on the Server page
The configuration files config link on the Server page
The files that hold the access rights volumes link on the Server page
All of the connected drives and Jaz disks jazdisk link on the Server page
Any of the individual drives
the drive identity in Scsi, e.g.
id2lun0.txt
Any of the individual Jaz disks
the Jaz disk name in the
Jaz link,
e.g. music_1.txt
Any new drives or Jaz disks that will be
connected in the future
default in the Server link
