Connect a SCSI terminator to the last drive in the SCSI chain. All 
other external Jaz drives must not be terminated. For instructions, 
see the Jaz drive documentation. The StorPoint has built-in SCSI 
termination which is always switched on, therefore the server must 
be physically located at the end of the chain. 

The SCSI bus must be electrically terminated at both ends.

Power up the StorPoint HD.

Standalone version only: 

First connect power to all Jaz drives and 

switch them on. Then connect the external power supply to the 
StorPoint HD.

HD tower module only: 

Simply switch the power on to the whole of 

the HD tower.

The StorPoint HD indicators will flash during power-on and self-test. 
When the STATUS indicator stops flashing and remains unlit, the 
StorPoint HD is ready for use. 

Now, continue with Step 3 on the next page to connect your 
StorPoint to the network.
