User’s Manual

  

AXIS WinPoint Installation

The AXIS WinPoint software has been designed to make 
configuration, management and access to AXIS Network StorPoint 
HDs simple and convenient. Designed to run in the Windows 95 and 
Windows NT 4.x environment, it locates and displays all StorPoint 
devices on the network.

Note:

Before installing AXIS WinPoint it is recommended that you 
close all Explorer windows and other applications.

Installation

The AXIS WinPoint software is available for downloading on the Axis 
Web site, see “Appendix E - 

How To Contact Axis

” on page 87.

1.

Locate the Setup file 

(Setup.exe)

, and using the 

Run

 option from 

the Windows Start Menu.

2.

Click 

OK

. You will then be presented with the AXIS WinPoint 

Welcome

 screen.

3.

Click 

Next

 to proceed with the installation or 

Cancel

 to quit the 

installation. The 

Select Destination Directory

 screen is displayed.
