Volume and Squelch Control – From the “Audio” tab of
the “SYS” page, use the outer ring of the right-hand knob
to select a row that corresponds with the desired radio.
Use the inner ring to change the volume level as
indicated by the horizontal bar and percentage value. The
push action of the right-hand knob toggles the squelch on
or off (or ID, in the case of the Nav radios).
Recommended Pilot Actions:
•
Use the “Bug Select” tab on the left IFD (PFD);
•
Select a datablock view on the right IFD (MFD) for Com,
Nav and transponder control;
•
Use the right hand bezel knob on the right IFD (MFD) for
FMS data entry;
•
Use the Audio tab of the SYS page for volume and
squelch control.
LOSS OF AHRS, AIR DATA OR ADAHRS (DUAL)
Under normal operating cases in dual ADAHRS systems, each
IFD displays its own ADAHRS information. In the event of an
ADAHRS failure, normally the good ADAHRS is auto selected for
display on all IFDs. Since the ADAHRS Source switch defaults to
Auto at each power up, normally there is no action that will be
required in this case. An ADAHRS Src LSK is provided in case
you want to manually select an ADAHRS as the display source.
Loss of an ADAHRS is indicated by a yellow caution lamp and
associated alert message.
From the “Sensors” tab of the “SYS” page, use the sensor status
red light/green light indications to verify which ADAHRS is
inoperative. Press the “ADAHRS Src” LSK to select the usable
ADAHRS for display on all PFDs (options are “Auto”, “1”, “2”).
Whenever a display is using a cross-side ADAHRS, a yellow
message will be presented in the top left corner of the display as
seen in the image below.
