Appendix B – FMS Pages

FMS Tab FMS Major Function

Flight
Plan

The Flight Plan tab enables you to view and edit a flight plan.

View Expanded or Compact – Expand or compress the selected
procedures or Victor airway legs.

If there is a Gap in route, you can Connect the waypoints

Map FPL
MFD only

The Map/FPL tab contains both a map and flight plan. The Map/FPL
page does not contain any LSKs. Use the keyboard to interact with
the flight plan or the right knob.

Info

The Info tab displays airport information, including runway
information, frequencies, and METAR data. You can Select and view:
Frequencies (Freq), Weather (Wx), Runways (Runway), and
Calculations (Calc).

Routes

The Routes tab enables you to Create a new route, Copy a route,
Invert a route, and Activate a route.

Once a route is selected on the routes tab, it can be edited in the
same way that a flight plan can be edited on the FPL tab. Build
alternate routes or save favorite routes for future use.

User
Wpts

The User Wpts tab enables you to create New user waypoints using
the present position (PPOS), map cursor (Pointer) or place, brg,
distance.

Nearest

The Nearest page describes the nearest waypoints of a given type
(Airports near present position, airports near destination, VORs,
NDBs, Intersections, and Obstacles).

Map
Nearest
MFD only

The Map Nearest page contains both map and nearest. Map Nearest
does not contain LSKs.
