System Failures

There may be some degradation of overall system functionality
following a loss of an IFD as represented by the table below

In 3-IFD systems, in addition to the behavior described in the
table above, loss of the middle IFD (MFD) will result in loss of
weather radar data.

Recommended Pilot Actions:

No change in operations but be aware that some redundancy and
functionality has been lost;

If the left IFD (PFD) is operating in an anomalous way, press the
PFD page function key on the right IFD (MFD);

Consider cycling both circuit breakers of the affected IFD,
depending on what the System Status tab indicates on the
remaining IFD.

If a failure of an IFD is not recognized by the system and the
automatic change has not happened, press the “PFD” Page
Function Key then tab left or right to access the desired function.
