System Alerts

VHF Cross Checking

If the Primary Nav source is either Nav1 or Nav2, a background
cross-check is performed. If the indications are outside the IFR
limits, an alert message is annunciated on both IFDs.

Miscompares

In the event a miscompare is annunciated, Avidyne highly
recommends diligence in crosschecking all on-board data
sources.

A pitch or roll miscompare will disconnect the DFC100 autopilot.

Note

: The miscompare feature is not functional for attitude or air

data when either the ADAHRS source selection is not set to
AUTO in dual ADAHRS systems or the aircraft is only equipped
with a single ADAHRS configuration.
