Chapter 4: Importing Data

Creating an Import Map for a dBASE Source File

To create an import map for a dBASE source file:

1. Open the MasterDirectory file in which you want to import data.

2. From the Data Exchange menu, choose

Import

The Import Maps dialog box appears.

3. Choose the

New

button.

The Import Type (Step 1 of 4) dialog box appears.

4. Select the

dBASE

option button.

5. Choose the

Next

button.

The Source Description (Step 2 of 4) dialog box appears.

6. In the Source box, enter the path and name of the dBASE file you want to import. You may use the

Browse

button to select the file you want to import.
