Using the Program Guide
Suspending Future PPV Programs
Suspending a future PPV program timer permits you to put a purchase on hold and yet keep it
on the list in the event that you change your mind and wish to resume it later. The timer remains
on the timer list until the time has passed or until it is canceled. If you wish to resume the timer,
see the procedure Resuming Future PPV Programs on page 59.
Note: You cannot suspend a current PPV program.
To suspend a future PPV program using the program guide
Note: At any time during this procedure, you can elect to cancel this procedure by pressing
the C button. In that event, there are no changes to the timer.
Cancel
Purchase and
VCR Timer Displays when you have purchased an event and set a
VCR timer. If you select this option, both the VCR
timer and the PPV purchase are canceled (if you can
cancel the PPV purchase). If you cannot cancel the
purchase but do not wish to record it, select the Clear
VCR Timer Only option. page 61
Clear VCR
Timer Only Displays when you have purchased an event and set a
VCR timer. If you select this option, only the VCR
timer is canceled. The purchase is not canceled. page 59
1 Press the GUIDE button. The program guide displays.
2 Press the arrow buttons to highlight the future PPV program to be suspended. The
program displays in the program guide, highlight in yellow with a timer symbol.
3 Press the SELECT button. One of the following happens:
• Passport DCT displays the channel. This means that this program is currently airing.
• One of the following displays appear (if you have selected a PPV program). The
example shows a display for a program that was purchased without a VCR timer (on
left) and a display for a program that has a VCR timer set (on right).
