Passport DCT Customer Service Guide

To view favorite channels

Press the FAV button to view the next favorite channel. The set-top box displays the favorite 
channels in ascending order. For example, your favorite channels are 7, 11, 26, and 30. You are 
currently viewing channel 13. When you press the FAV button, the set-top box displays channel 
26.

Note: Pressing the FAV button in the program guide does not display the next favorite 

channel; instead it scrolls the program guide to the information for the next favorite 
channel.

Selecting a Channel Shown in Banner Browse

Passport DCT includes the channel banner to provide quick access to information about the 
program’s title, rating, start, and end times. When the channel banner first displays it shows 
information about the current channel and program. From here, you can “browse” the channel 
banner. This allows you to continue watching the current program while checking program 
information for other channels and other times. You can also select a channel shown in the 
channel banner as described in this section. For more information about browsing the channel 
banner, refer to Browsing Program Information in the Banners on page 22.

Additionally, you can browse the QuickInfo™ banner as well. For more information on the 
QuickInfo™ banner, refer to Browsing Program Information in the Banners, page 22.

The following figures show the channel banner and QuickInfo™ banner while you are 
browsing.

button, the channel you have selected displays the currently airing program.
