Passport DCT Customer Service Guide

Selecting Passport DCT Settings

Note: Some TV models may take a long time to warm up if they are plugged into the set-top 

box’s AC outlet. Another option is to simply plug the TV into a wall outlet. To use the 
remote to control the TV, the remote must be programmed for the TV model. For 
information, refer to the remote control documentation.

You can select one of the following three options for the set-top box’s AC outlet: 

To set the settop AC outlet use

This Settop AC Outlet option

Works like this

On

The AC outlet power stays on when the set-top box 
is off

Off

The AC outlet power stays off regardless of whether 
the set-top box is on or off; this option is 
recommended for safety purposes when you do not 
use the AC outlet

On with settop

The AC outlet power turns on and off when you turn 
the set-top box on and off

1 Press the MENU button until the Settings menu displays.

2 Press the up or down arrow button to highlight 

the Settop AC Outlet preference. The current 
setting displays.
