Using the QuickInfo™ banner

Passport DCT Customer Service Guide

This section describes how you display and exit the channel banner. For specific information 
on browsing with the channel banner, refer to Browsing Program Information in the Banners, 
page 22.

To display the Channel Banner

• Press the INFO button

Or

• Change channels

To exit the channel banner, do one of the following

• Press the EXIT button on the remote 
• Press the INFO button twice
• Wait until the channel banner disappears automatically

Using the QuickInfo™ banner

Passport DCT includes the QuickInfo™ banner to provide additional information about the 
program. It includes all the information contained in the channel banner plus a synopsis of the 
program. 

The following figure shows the QuickInfo™ banner:

The QuickInfo™ banner displays only upon request; it is not automatic. When the QuickInfo™ 
banner displays, you can use it to browse program information for other channels. When you 
browse the QuickInfo™ banner, the current channel does not change. This way you can check 
program information and description for other channels while watching the channel you are 
viewing currently.
