Setting Timers For Future Recordings (cont’d):
4. A Recording Alert screen appears (Figure
3) to let you know that your VCR needs
manual programming to be successful.
Press the [A] Button to acknowledge this
message.
5. The entry in the TV Listings will now be
in RED and show a icon beside
it
(Figure 4).
When the timer activates, “ REC ” will show
on the converter's LED display and most
remote control buttons will be locked for the
duration of the show. To unlock the remote,
press [STOP] or [EXIT].
NOTE: REMEMBER to turn your VCR OFF so that the timer you program in the
VCR will turn on at the correct time and be in sync with the converter timer.
CLEARING or SUSPENDING the timers
Sometimes you want to set a timer that conflicts
with your regular scheduled timer. In this case you
would need to Suspend the repeating timer so that
the one-time timer will work.
• Select the show through the TV Listings
(press [GUIDE] on your remote to get the TV
Listings.)
• Under the Future Program Selection screen,
select “Suspend Event Timer” or “Clear Event
Timer”
• Suspended timers will have a icon next to
them.
• Cleared timers will return to their normal state
(See Figure 1).
