Resolving a Timer Overlap
When you set a timer that overlaps with an existing timer, you have the option of keeping some
or all of the overlapping timers. A display indicates your timer selection and the existing,
active, overlapping timers. From this display, you can adjust the existing timers as follows:
• Active: keeps the existing program timer.
• Suspend: puts the program timer on hold. It remains on the list, but does not activate
unless returned to an active state (resumed).
• Clear: eliminates the non-PPV timer.
• Cancel: eliminates a PPV purchase/timer.
Sample procedure to resolve a timer overlap
You see this display if you attempt to set a ninth
non-PPV timer. A maximum of eight current or
pending non-PPV timers (with or without VCR
timers) may be set at any given time.
• Press the A button to display the selected channel.
Or
• Press the C button to clear the new timer.
Note: You can wait until another timer completes
to set the timer.
