Using Parental Control
6 Press the right arrow button. A list of channels
displays.
Channels that are currently selected have an open or closed lock symbol.
7 You can elect to lock all channels, or to lock a specific channel. Using the up or down
arrow button, highlight your selection. You can also use the numeric keypad to select and
highlight a channel number.
8 To lock all channels, select the Lock All option.
9 To lock secific channels, press the Up or Down arrow button to highlight the channel you
want to lock.
10 Press the SELECT button. A lock symbol appears next to the channel.
11 To lock additional items, return to step 7.
12 Press the left arrow button and the channels you have selected for locking display.
13 From the channels column, you may select to do one of the following:
• To continue configuring the parental control options, press the left arrow button once
to return to the options display and select the next option you wish to set.
• To continue configuring other Settings, press the left arrow button twice to return to
the preference display and select the next preference you wish to set.
• To exit the Settings menu, press the EXIT button.
14 To block the selected channels, you must turn locking on; refer to page 134.
An open lock symbol indicates that
this channel is selected for parental
control, but locking is currently
off.
A closed lock symbol indicates that
this channel is selected for parental
control and locking is currently on.
