DIAGNOSTICS INSTRUMENT: ELECTRICAL ERRORS

VCU ERRORS

Pressure sensor short circuit error C1407

Error cause

•

Excessive voltage or null voltage found from VCU PIN A3 to sensor PIN 4.

Troubleshooting

•

Disconnect the sensor connector and check PIN 4 ground and power insulation. if insulation

is not present, restore the cable harness; otherwise replace the sensor.

•

Check that sensor connector PIN 4 is insulated from both ground (connector PIN 1) and

power (connector PIN 3) and also from connector PIN 2. Reconnect the VCU, turn the key

ON and check that there are 5V between connector PIN 1 and 3. If the checks return positive

results replace the sensor.

Recovery

•

Constant current on the fork.

Pressure sensor open error C1408

Error cause

•

Circuit interruption detected.

Troubleshooting

•

Check the component connector and the VCU connector. Disconnect the two connectors

and check for continuity of the cable between sensor PIN 4 and VCU PIN A3 and restore

the cable harness. If the cable harness is intact replace the sensor.

•

Check the continuity between sensor connector PIN 1 and VCU PIN F3. Check the continuity

between sensor connector PIN 4 and VCU PIN A3. Reconnect the VCU, turn the key ON

and check that there are 5 v between connector PIN 1 and 3. If the checks return positive

results replace the sensor.

Recovery
