G4. Check that there is continuity between the cable harness side switch connector PIN 3

(M/V) and VCU PIN E2. If faults are found restore the cable harness.

•

If the checks return positive results, check on the switch side connector that there is con-

tinuity between PIN 1 (G/Vi) and PIN 2 (Gr/N) to the pulled brake lever and infinite resistance

with the lever released. Also check that there is continuity between PIN 3 (M/V) and PIN 2

(Gr/N) with the brake lever released and infinite resistance with the lever pulled. Otherwise,

replace the brake switch.

Function

These allow the suspension system to adapt hy-

draulic damping of the fork and shock absorbers

electronically and in real time depending on the

stress received.

Operation / Operating principle

Suspension damping is controlled by the VCU.

The solenoid valves inserted in the fork/shock ab-

sorber adjust hydraulic braking based on the cur-

rent that powers them:

- minimum current 0mA: suspension is stiff (max-

imum hydraulic braking);

- maximum current 1800mA: minimum braking.
