Disconnect the rear suspension valve and the VCU. Check that the valve connector PIN 1

(R) is insulated from ground and power and also from PIN 2 (Green). Check that the valve

connector PIN 2 (Green) is insulated from ground and power. If faults are found restore the

cable harness. If the checks return positive results, check on the valve side connector that

the resistance between the two PINs is about 2Ohms. Otherwise, replace the valve. If the

check returns a positive result replace the VCU.

Recovery

•

Null current on the shock absorber (shock absorber stiff)

- command output error rear suspension valve open circuit C1604

Error cause

•

Circuit interruption detected.

Troubleshooting

•

Check the component connector and the VCU connector. Disconnect the two connectors

and check for continuity of the cable between Valve "-" PIN and VCU PIN F1 and restore

the cable harness. If the cable harness is intact replace the suspension.

•

Disconnect the rear suspension valve and the VCU. Check that there is continuity between

the valve connector PIN 1 (R) and VCU PIN F1. Check that there is continuity between the

valve connector PIN 2 (Green) and VCU PIN E1. If faults are found restore the cable harness.

If the checks return positive results, check on the valve side connector that the resistance

between the two PINs is about 2Ohms. Otherwise, replace the valve. If the check returns a

positive result replace the VCU.

Recovery

•

Null current on the shock absorber (shock absorber stiff)

+ command output error front suspension valve short circuit C1605

Error cause

•

Excessive or null voltage found on VCU PIN B1.

Troubleshooting

•

Disconnect the valve connector and check "+" PIN ground and power insulation: if insulation

is not present, restore the cable harness; otherwise replace the valve.
