Anderson Group

1.3.5 Power transmission

The transmission of power occurs with a drive shaft, related to the power takeoff of the tractor, and
a system of belts and pulleys.

Figure 8 – Power transmission

The drive shaft (A) directly transmits its power to the compression screw (B). This one is equipped
with a pulley, located on its shaft, which actuates the belts (C) to make the crushing rollers turn (D).
The drive shaft is equipped with a shear bolt (E) which protects the power transmission parts from a
potential mechanical overload.
