4.2.2 Grain flow
The grain flow can be adjusted with the speed of the loading auger and with the opening of the trap
between the hopper and the crushing rollers.
Adjusting the loading auger speed
The grain flow control valve, illustrated in the following figure, allows the adjustment of the speed at
which the grain is loaded into the hopper by the loading auger. The valve makes it possible to change
the oil flow from 0 to 16 gallons per minute. The higher the oil flow, the faster the auger will carry the
grain to the hopper. To increase the oil flow and the speed of the loading screw, simply lower the
valve. To reduce the flow and slow the auger, you must move the valve upwards.

Adjusting the opening of the hopper trap
The trap located in the crushing roller casing allows control of the speed at which the grains will flow
from the hopper to the crushing rollers. It also allows the interruption of the grain flow to the rollers.
The operator must adjust the grain flow in order to avoid there being too much or too little grains in
