Grain bagger GB-series – Operation Guide
53
When the bag is full, you should interrupt the feeding of the grains into the crushing rollers. To do
this, you will have to completely close the trap of the hopper according to instructions to reduce the
grain flow, and push the handle (B) as far as possible.
4.2.3 Grain crushing
The size of the crushed grain is determined both by the pressure level between the crushing rollers
and by the distance between them.
Figure 35 – Crushing rollers
Pressure between the rollers
The roller (A) can be moved horizontally to increase or decrease the space between the rollers. This
modifies the size of the grains exiting the casing. The pressure exerted on the roller (A) comes from
the springs (B) located at each end of the roller. The flywheel (C) enables the simultaneous
adjustment of the tension on both springs (B) and a tensioner (D) allows to tighten the chain (E).
l
To increase the pressure on the springs, turn the flywheel clockwise (see the following fig-
ure). The grains will be more finely crushed.
l
To reduce the pressure on the springs, turn the flywheel counter-clockwise (see the following
figure). The grains will be crushed more coarsely.
