Address Book errors
Address Book errors are indicated by a
beep
when you press
STORE
. If the beep
occurs when you
first
press
STORE
(to
start
a new entry), this means that the
e-m@iler
's memory is so full of messages (email and VoiceMail), there's no room to store
new Address Book entries. You will be able to store new entries (up to 700) once you've
deleted your old messages (see pages 64 and 108).
If the beep occurs when you
finally
press
STORE
(to
store
the entry), this means that
your entry contains one or more of the following errors:
♦
The entry has
no name
. (Type in a name and try again.)
♦
The name
already exists
. (Rename the entry and try again.)
♦
You've typed an
invalid email address
.
(Check the address is correct – it must
contain the
@
symbol.)
&
Note the cursor will move into the box containing the error.
Typing at the keyboard
If you make a mistake, you can press
!
DEL
to delete it. (Use keys
L
R
to move
to the required character.)
&
Note when typing an entry, pressing
ENTER
automatically moves the
cursor
|
down. (Note when composing an email or fax message, you
must
press
ENTER
to start a new paragraph.)
In addition to letters and numbers, there are other characters you can type at the
keyboard:
♦

"
SHIFT
key while typing the
letters.

(printed in white on the

SHIFT
while pressing the required key.

yellow
