Warranty & Guarantee

  

Amstrad warrants that your 

e-m@iler

 product will be free from defects in workmanship 

and materials for a period of 12 months from the date of purchase.  
  
If you do experience a problem with your 

e-m@iler

 equipment during that 12 month 

period, contact Amserve Support for advice (see page 29). Where the problem is within 
this warranty, at our option, we may repair or replace your 

e-m@iler

 product. If your 

equipment is defective, you should take your 

e-m@iler

 product (along with your receipt or 

similar proof of purchase) back to the retailer who sold it to you. The retailer will deal with 
the matter according to your statutory rights and their policy. 
  
The above warranty does not apply where the 

e-m@iler

 has been used other than as a 

telephone or apparatus to send/receive electronic messages, view internet sites or play 
games. Furthermore, this warranty does not cover damage caused by excessive voltage, 
lightning, faults on the telephone line, faults not caused by Amstrad, Amserve or Amsurf, 
or wilful or accidental damage to the 

e-m@iler

 or misuse. The warranty will not apply 

where the 

e-m@iler

 has been modified or repaired by persons who are not authorised by 

Amstrad to carry out modifications or repairs.  
 
Amstrad is not liable for faults or omissions by third party service providers, for example 
Email Service Providers, or for faults in data transmission over the internet which are not 
attributable to faults in the 

e-m@iler

. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Amstrad 

shall not be liable for damages for loss of business profits, business interruption or loss 
of business information arising out of the use of or inability to use the 

e-m@iler

 even if 

Amstrad has been advised of the possibility of such damages. 
 
The above sets out Amstrad's full liability under the terms of the warranty, although 
nothing in this warranty is intended to exclude Amstrad's liability for death or personal 
injury caused by Amstrad's negligence. Furthermore, your statutory rights are unaffected.
