Programming the Address Book
- 44 -
&
Ignore the
Ring group:
setting for now – this is explained in Advanced
settings page 147.
Get into the habit of always typing in the dialling code – even if the number
you're entering is local. (This will save you having to re-programme phone
numbers if you move home or office.)
IMPORTANT – You MUST type in the dialling code when entering a fax number.
5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 for each box you wish to type in.
&
You don't have to type in all the numbers or addresses now. Once you've
entered the name, you can leave any of the other details until later (then
use the editing procedure on page 47).
6. Finally, when the displayed information is
correct (see right for example), press
STORE
to store the entry.
Note the
e-m@iler
should return to the standby
display – if it doesn't, see 'Address Book errors' on
the next page.
♦
To store another new entry, repeat steps 1 to 6.
&
You can store new entries while a phone call is in progress.
Once entries are stored, you can use the Address Book for making calls.
(Information on page 51.)
Note the Address Book memory does not depend on mains power – all data is stored
permanently
(until deleted). Interruptions to mains power do not lose any stored
Address Book entries.
To find out how many Address Book entries you've stored, you can check system
information (page 153).
&
Tip – if you’ve subscribed to Caller Display, you can have fun by storing your
friends’ names with a nickname, eg.
Wendy Woo
. When they ring you, their
nickname will appear on the screen!
