When displaying a list of messages (as shown on page 64), note the hourglass symbol
next to a message means that it is still waiting to be sent. (You may
delete
a
waiting message if you wish.)
The cross symbol
next to a message means that it may have failed to send due
to interruption or some other cause.
If you send email to an
incorrect email address
, then in due course the
Amserve
Administrator
will send you an 'undeliverable' email notification such as '
Mail System
Error – Returned Mail
'. You'll receive this notification when you next collect email
(described below).
If you
do
receive an undeliverable mail notification, try sending another message taking
care to check the email address for spelling and the correct use of dashes, dots and
underscores. (You will also receive this notification if the person you're sending to is no
longer at that email address.)
Collecting email
➣
FAST TRACK: Hold down
, wait for email collection.
With
automatic collection
or
polling
selected
(information on page 53), any new email
waiting for you will be collected automatically. No action is required by you.
&
As the Caller Display service supporting the email notification feature is
supplied by your telephone service provider, Amserve cannot guarantee
continuity of notification.
&
Please note the email
curfew
information on page 137.
Note – no matter how many messages are collected at one time, you are
charged only for the one email call.
If the red
light is on continuously (not flashing), this means new email has
already been collected – go straight to 'Reading new email' (page 63).
If you wish to collect email
manually
, hold down the
button (for
approx 5 seconds) until
Dialling for email
appears at bottom of
display. The
e-m@iler
will dial up Amserve and collect any waiting email.
&
You can
always
collect email manually, even if automatic collection or
polling is currently selected.
&
To
abort
dialling for email, press
STOP
.
