5.3.1.2 Delay period of the alarm activation
The delay period for the alarm thresholds can be set via the switch S1 (3, 4). As
a standard the delay period for the alarm is set to 10 sec. If the smoke level
increases during operation so that the alarm threshold is reached the delay
period starts. After the delay period has been expired the signal is transmitted if
the alarm remains activated. Thus, a false alarm can be avoided in case of
short interferences (dust).
