Steam trap 

 

Fig. 6.12: Mounting of the steam trap to the pipe system 

 

The steam trap is installed at the deepest point of the pipe system in front of the 
air filter and TITANUS 

PRO·SENS

®

. It is fixed to the pipe system by means of 

the PG-screw joints. 

 

Two 45°-elbows are necessary on each connection side for the installation 
of the steam trap in the pipe system. 

 
 

 

Connection 

When mounting the steam trap pay attention to the air flow direction (refer to the 
arrow on the steam trap housing). 
 
1.  Prepare the pipe system with two 45°-elbows on each side for the 

connection to the steam trap and connect it to the PG-screw joints. 

2.  Fix the steam trap additionally through two screws and the support.
