DAVINO 120TW - USER AND MAINTENANCE MANUAL Rev.04
- Pag. 33
When replacing a wheel, you must move the travel selector to neutral, turn off the engine and disengage
the ignition key.
This must be done on a flat and stable surface.
Place a wedge under wheel diametrically opposite to the one you have to replace.
Always place machine lifting equipment on a flat surface.
Check that the lifting equipment of the machine has sufficient lifting capacity.
Use trestles or other supports to support the weight of the car while repairing the tires.
Never enter, even partially, under the machine or start the engine when the machine is lifted.
Never knock on the tire or rim with a hammer.
Make sure the rim is clean ans without rust or other damage. Do no weld, brase or repair in any way a rim
or use a damaged rim.
Do not inflate a tire if the rimi s not mounted on the machine or in any case securely fastened so that it can
not move in the event of sudden tire or rim rupture.
When mouting a new or repaired tire, use a pressure gauge with a hose coupled on the valve to allow the
operator to stay away from the tire during inflation. When checking the tire pressure, also examine the tread
and hips to make sure they are not damage. Any neglected damage can lead to premature tire failure.
Never inflated a steering tire beyond the maximum recommended pressure of the manufacturer.
Inflating beyond the allowabl value with theheel that is not perfectly aligned is likely to break the heel or rim
with sufficient explosive force to cause serious injury.
You should not inflate a tire that has worked sagging or very low pressure if this is not first examined by a
qualified person.
Never inflame a tire too much or too little.
During inflation, stay in a protected area with respect to the tire side.
Never inflame with inflammable gas or compressed air from alcohol injectors.
Tighten the wheel fixing nuts on the axle to the specified torque after reassembling the wheel. Check the
pair of nuts every day until it stabilizes.
SUPPLIES
Only use products recommended by the manufactuer in the lubricating chart of this manual.
Make sure that supplies or refills are carried out accordin to the times indicated in the maintenance schedule
in the manual to keep the machine in safe and efficient working conditions.
Use clothing that is appropriate for the operations to be carried out.
Any liquid ruptures should only be carried out with a stationary and cold engine.
Before checking or re-supplying, make sure there are not free flames or smokeless materials in the area,
do not use mateches, lighters or torches as a light source.
Unscrew the caps very slowly, to unload the system pressure before remoging them completely..
Be careful when supplying fuel or oil spills may cause slipping and injury; clean immediately and thoroughly
the areas that have been smeared.
DEF (Diesel Exhaust Fluid)
DEF is an aqueous solution of urea that can release ammonia vapors. Always wear the appropriate
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) listed in the Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for Diesel Exhaust
Fluid (DEF).
Do not inhale steam or ammonia mists.
Do not eat, drink or smoke in the presence of DEF.
Avoid contact of DEF with eyes, skin and clothing.
Wash thoroughly after handling DEF.
Always follow the first aid directions outlined in the Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for Diesel Exhaust
Fluid (DEF).
DEF liquid is not expected to have significant adverse health effects on operators if the instructions provided
are followed.
DEF discharge must take place in a well-ventilated area.
Do not allow DEF to escape onto hot surfaces.
PRECAUTIONS DURING WELDING OPERATIONS
Welding operations must always be carried out by a qualified welding machine and in a place equipped
with adequate equipment.
