DAVINO 120TW - USER AND MAINTENANCE MANUAL Rev.04
- Pag. 24
When working on a slope and the fuel tank warning light comes on, immediately refuel, due to the inclination
under the machine, the engine can suck air and stop suddenly, seriously jeopardizing the safety of the
operator and people downstream of the vehicle.
The gradient degree should be assessed depending on the following facors, such as terrain type, load,
vehicle conditions, speed and visibility.
Public road trips: for gradients above 5 %, use lower gear.
TRANSFER ON ICY SURFACES OR SNOW COVER
If you need to work on icy surfaces or snow covered, reduce speed and avoid abrupt movements.
In fact, lateral slips can easily occur, while the operation of the vehicle becomes more sensitive.
In case a large amount of snow has been deposited, the edges of the road are difficult to see.
In such circumstances pay close attention.
ELECTRIC LINES
Work in the vicinity of power lines has serious dangers and it is therefore indispensable to seek precautions
to eliminate potential risks.
Work in the vicinity of power lines means that the machine parts, raised in any position, can reach the
minimum safety distance required by national safety standards.
Work may not be carried out near aerial lines below a distance of less than 5 m unless there is a signal to
the operator of the power linies and no adequate protection is provided to prevent accidental or dangerous
approaches to the conductors of the lines themselves.
In order to carry out a risk-free job, you must keep the maximum possible distance from the line without
ever breaking the minimum. Evne passing near high voltage cables can cause electric shock, so burns or
even death.
Prepare for every possible emergency, war shoes and rubber gloves. Place a rubber sole on the operator
seat and be careful not to touch the frame with uncoated body parts. Appoint a person to report when the
machine gets too close to the electrical wiring.
During operations near the high voltage cables, do not allow anyone to approach the machine.
If there is a contact with the power line, you must absolutely avoid leaving the machine by touching the
metal structures that are live, so the operator must not abandon the booth until the power outage is
confirmed. Also, do not let anyone approach the machine.
CLOSED ENVIRONMENT
Having to operate in a tunnel or closed environments (sheds, parking lots, etc.) it is advisable before starting
work under these conditions to ensure that there is enough air in the room and that good ventilation avoids
the accumulation of gas toxic exhaust or dust. In any case it would be a good idea to convey the exhaust
gas to the outside of the environment with a simple hose. Open windows and doors to facilitate ventilation
and have an appropriate protective mask.
STOP OF THE MACHINE
Do not leave the machine unattended with the motor in motion for any reason. If for any reason you want
to stop the machine, you should follow the instructions in the chapter on “STOP MACHINE” and “ENGINE
STOP”.
Always stop the engine whenever you leave the machine.
Before leaving the driving position proceed as floowos:
- make sure people are not near the car
- bring the services slowly down
- bring all commands to NEUTRAL position
- return the gear selector leaver to the NEUTRAL position
- turn off the engine (the parking brake automatically switches on)
- remove the key from the ignition key.
