2. 

Insert a clean 'peek' sample 
needle or similar type of object 
(1) through the opening in the 
back panel of the SPI (2).  

3. 

Carefully push the lens (3) out 
on lens cleaning paper.

Clean the contaminated lens using lens cleaning paper or a lint-free soft cloth. 

5. 

Clean all the other parts with a lint-free cloth. 

 

The lens and SPI are now clean. 

 

6.9.3 

Installing the lens and the SPI 

In order to fit it, proceed as follows: 

 

1. 

Lay the PTFE ring (2) flat into 
the SPI (1). 

2. 

Insert the lens (3) with the flat 
side into the SPI. 

 

The lens for the SPI (SOP 
application) can be 
distinguished by the straight 
edge on two sides. 

3. 

Lay the second PTFE ring (4) on 
top of it. 

4. 

Moderately tighten the light 
channel sleeve (5) including the 
light channel (6).

Insert the SPI into the instrument following the reverse order used for the 
disassembly procedure.  

6. 

Install the plasma torch and adapter, see page 32. 

 

The lens and SPI are now installed.
