Preparation of the instrument 

 

Before switching on the instrument, proceed as follows: 

1. 

Instructions on how to install the Plasma torch and the sample introduction 
system, see page 32. 

2. 

Open the Argon supply valve. 

 

Set the Argon pressure to 7 bar. 

 

The plasma cannot be started at a pressure of < 6.0 bar. A 
corresponding error message will be displayed. 

3. 

Ensure that the extraction system is activated and that the specified exhaust 
capacity is reached. 

4. 

Ensure that all flaps and doors are closed. 

 

The instrument is ready for use.
