Chapter 4

Preventative Maintenance

Maintenance Procedures

To change the AA batteries, use the following procedure:

1. Switch power off and unplug the Test Set.

2. Remove the six TX-15 torx screws in the rear frame, see

Figure 4-1

on page 99

. It is not necessary to remove the front frame or external

cover.

3. Remove the rear frame.

4. Replace the AA batteries. Do not use rechargeable batteries, and

dispose the used batteries properly.

5. Re-install the rear frame.

Reset and GFI-Test Buttons

(older units with GFI circuit)

1. Remove the rear frame. It is not necessary to remove the front frame

or external cover.

2. To reset the Test Set, press the black button. To test the ground fault

interrupter, press the red button.

3. Re-install the rear frame.
