Introduction to Programming

Agilent 34945A Microwave Switch/Attenuator Driver Module User’s Guide

• settle time

- specifies the time allowed for the switch/attenuator operation

to complete.

• verification

- enables and disables electronic verification of the

programmed switch state.

• verification polarity

- set the logic polarity of the expected switch position

indicator signal.

Bank (Distribution Board) Configuration Window

The distribution board bank configuration window provides settings for the

individual

banks on the 34945EXT.

These settings include:

• LED drive control

- enables and disables the distribution board LED drives

(LEDs not included) which reflect the position indicator states of the
connected switches or attenuators.

• LED drive level

- sets the amount of current which controls LED

brightness.

• channel drive type

- sets the current drive mode (TTL or Open Collector)

for the specified channels.

• Preset Bank

- this command sets the bank configuration to conform to the

switches supported by the distribution board installed.

The programming

of any switch or attenuator must begin by presetting the bank
