Line (Telnet) Interface Config Command Set

shutdown

Purpose

Use the shutdown command to disable the system Telnet port. Use the no form of the
command to activate the system Telnet port.

Syntax Description

The shutdown command has no subcommands.

Default Values

The Telnet port is defaulted to the active state.

Command Modes

The Line (Telnet) Interface Configuration Mode is required for this command.

Usage Examples

Disable the Telnet port.

TA238(line-telnet)#shutdown

Enable the Telnet port.

TA238(line-telnet)#no shutdown
