Global Configuration Mode Command Set

Purpose

Use the login command to change the login id and/or password for the system.

Syntax Description

Table 16

displays the syntax descriptions for the login command.

Default Values

The login command has no default values.

Command Modes

The Global Configuration Mode is required for this command.

Usage Examples

Change the system login username to local_user.

TA238(config)#login username local_user

Change the system login password to my_passwd.

TA238(config)#login password my_passwd
