ROOM AIR TEMP. SENSOR INSTALLATION / ADJUSTMENT

INTRODUCTION

The Room Air Temperature Sensor location varies and is specific on each individual site installation requirements,

hence the sensor is not fitted to your air conditioning unit. It is supplied and packed together with this installation guide

inside the Installation Guide / Warranty Pack envelope. The Room Air Temperature Sensor comes standard with 6m lead

wire, which can be extended for longer installation requirement. It will need installation and adjustment by the installer

prior to commissioning of your air conditioning unit.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:

1.  Install the Room Air Temperature Sensor on the return air duct or inside the room, just below the return air grille.

2.  Ensure that the sensor is located where the room air is not affected by other heat source.

3.  The Room Air Temperature Sensor must be properly secured in the chosen location.

4.  Sensor wire should be routed securely and not to be exposed to sunlight, rain, dust and other contaminants.

5.  Keep sensor wire away from high voltage cables.

INSTALLATION - SENSOR CONNECTION TO OUTDOOR TERMINALS (DEFAULT):

1.  Cut the cable of the Room Air Temperature Sensor as close as possible to the plug:
2.  Strip the cable to expose the wires:

NOTES:

•

A Tri-Capacity of split configuration was used for the example above. A Tri-Capacity package configuration

would not display “use OUTDOOR/INDOOR sensor” and remain blank.

• The supplied Room Air Temperature Sensor is a Duct Bead type sensor (ActronAir Part No: 2060-036). A wall

type sensor is also available as an option (ActronAir Part Number LM-RS).

• For longer installation requirements, it is possible to extend the provided 6m sensor lead wire with an

extension wire. The extension wire

MUST

comply to the specifications on page 51 and the installer is  required

to adjust the sensor to get proper reading.
