3. Operation
3.1 Warm-Up
When the instrument is first turned on it must go through a period of adjustment and calibration. No
measurements are taken during this warm-up period.
The following activities occur during warm-up:
Int. Pump Adjust
If the internal pump option is enabled, the instrument remains in warm-up until the flow is within
10% of target.
Cell Temperature
The instrument will wait until it reaches 90% of target set point.
After this warm-up has completed the instrument will perform a background and then enter the
normal measurement cycle (refer to Section 3.2).
3.2 Measurement
The Serinus 60 NO
2
Analyser primarily operates in the sample measure cycle continuously. A
background is preformed after warm-up, and then normally once every 24 hours (by default) or as
defined in the
Measurement Settings Menu which can be edited by the user. The background is an
extinction measure without NO
2
present in the cell and is subtracted from sample measurements.
